Some time ago I was contacted by the City of San Vito al Tagliamento for an experimental work.
We had to create a series of drawings (virtual graffiti) over photographs of buildings or walls of San Vito. The aim was to put my work (and who would help me) into a project to promote the town in all its aspects (cultural, social, commercial, etc..).
So me (drawings), Roberto Romani (lyrics) and Claudio Mansutti (photo), we created a digital comic that tells the history and famous people of San Vito al Tagliamento.

Our work is titled “The story leaves a mark” (“La storia lasci ail segno”) and can be found here.

I’d thank the City of San Vito al Tagliamento and staff of Sincron Polis (in this case Franco Amigoni) and InfoFactory for support.

Saturday 15th October in San Vito al Tagliamento (PN) it took place a presentation of the book entitled “Assoli di china. Tra jazz e fumetto.” by Flavio Massarutto with the presence of the author, Salvatore Oliva (comics critic) and Pino Saulo (musical journalist, anchorman of Radio Rai Tre).
After that, there was a show made by jazz musicians and comics artists. While Massimo De Mattia (flute), Luigi Vitale (vibraphone), Alessandro Turchet (double-bass) and Luca Colussi (drums) were playing, we drew comics. The comics artists were: me, Massimiliano Gosparini, Davide Pascutti and Giulio De Vita.
We had to draw one or more pages of comics in an hour. The stories had to be placed in San Vito al Tagliamento or with some persons that lived in it.
I made a story with the artist called Pomponio Amalteo.
I used drawing pens, ink diluted in water and a sheet of rough paper ivory.

I won first prize in the competition “Zâl par furlan”!!
“Zâl par furlan” is a competition for a detective story/comics in Friulano language.
This competition was promoted by “Comune di Spilimbergo” in collaboration with “Società Filologica Friulana”, “A.R.Le.F. (Agjenzie Regionâl pe Lenghe Furlane)”, “Istitût Ladin Furlan ‘Pre Checo Placerean’” and “Provincia di Pordenone”.
The title of the story is “Ploie“. I drew and coloured this comics (4 pages), while the script was created in team.
Pier Sante Fogolin (my dad) wrote the idea (a short story), Marzia Volpatti (my girlfriend) wrote dialogues and Sara Nascimben translated all in Friulano.
